Unless otherwise specified, these terms apply to all
of our products and services. By placing an order with VSI,
the customer has agreed to all of these General Terms. Please read
carefully.
1. Export Control
1.1 All products containing an image
intensifier fall under the control jurisdiction of the U. S. Department of
State's International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U. S.
Department of Commerce's Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
1.2 All products containing an image
intensifier are for use in the United States. An Export License is
required for all international customers.
1.3 All
domestic buyers of products
containing an image intensifier have to read and sign VSI's
End Use Statement (click to
read/download).
1.4 An Export License is required for all
international customers. VSI can provide assistance in the
License application process. All international buyers of products
containing an image intensifier have to submit the BIS-711 Form to obtain
an Export License before VSI can process the order. All
information required, including but not limited to the exact description
of the intended use has to be furnished with the form. The end user
has to agree to all of the terms and conditions of the Export License.
The end user has to certify in a signed written statement on official
letterhead that the instrument will be kept in a locked facility where
only authorized personnel can access. The end user can only use the
instrument for the specific application authorized by the Export License.
1.5 All products containing an image
intensifier are sold to international
END USERS with
specific applications only. Under no circumstances can any of these
products be purchased/borrowed/leased for
demonstration/leasing/training/inventory keeping purposes.
1.6 All products listed as "FOR USE IN THE
UNITED STATES ONLY" on VSI's website are for domestic customers
only. These products cannot be
exported.
2. Warranty and Services
2.1 All of VSI's products have a
standard warranty of one (1) year.
2.2 Extended Warranty and/or
Service/Maintenance contracts are not available.
2.3 Damages caused by the user's mishandling
of the instrument are not covered by the warranty. These include
(but are not limited to):
-Damages to the photocathode caused by
over-exposure to light
-Damages to the electronics caused by electric
surge/shock
-Damages to the electronics caused by heat
-Damages to the intensifier and electronics caused
by operation with condensation
-Tampering with the housing
2.4 Any equipment in need of service or
repair has to
be returned to VSI. There is an assessment charge of $250.
After the equipment is tested, a quote for the required repair/service
will be issued. All services under warranty will be performed
free (the $250 assessment charge will be canceled).
3. Demonstration Equipment
3.1 All demonstration equipment request has
to be submitted with a no cost ($0) Purchase Order (PO).
3.2 All parties requesting VSI's
demonstration equipment has to read and sign VSI's
End Use Statement.
3.3 Demonstration equipment can be borrowed
for two (2) weeks.
3.4 All accessories, including software,
manual and cables, have to be returned with the instrument. Any
missing/damaged part will be charged against the demo PO.
3.5 The instrument has to be returned via
air shipment with tracking information. Ground shipment may damage
the instrument.
3.6 Damages to the instrument caused by user
mishandling and/or not following given instructions will be charged
against the demo PO. |
