Ultracam7
Intensified High-Speed (6688 fps full-frame) Camera
The Ultracam7 is a very high sensitivity high speed camera capable of
acquiring images at 6688 fps at light levels as low as 2.0 x 10-7
fc. Exposure times as low as 50ns can be achieved on a standard model.
Ultra-short exposures (<3ns) is available as an option.
The camera can be used for special imaging of rapid events where only low
ambient light is available. Multiple exposures per frame can be achieved
through external control. Utilizing the ability to achieve short exposure
times the camera can achieve a dynamic range of over 5 million.
The Ultracam7 contains a high quantum efficiency GEN III Image Intensifier
with broadband response from 350 to 900nm. This high performance intensifier
is backed up by a booster intensifier. This combination is fiber optically
coupled to a high sensitivity 800 x 600 CMOS sensor. This sensor is capable
of high resolution and attaining 6688 fps. Lower frame rates are also
achievable. UV response from 200nm is available as an option. The camera
is controlled by computer via a Gigabit Ethernet and a RS-232 connection.
The camera comes complete with all the software, cables and power supply
required for operation.
