Portable Point and Shoot Intensified High Speed Touch Screen LCD

The Ultracam1 is an entry level intensified high speed camera. It features a compact and portable design. It is capable of 500 fps full frame (640x480) imaging in low light level conditions. At a reduced format (480x360), maximum frame-rate increases to 1000 fps.

With an automatic gain GEN III image intensifier, the Ultracam1 can be used as a "point and shoot" high frame-rate low light level camera. It can record high speed events with very dim ambient lighting. The Ultracam1 can run on the supplied Li-Ion battery alone. The built-in LCD touch screen provides immediate review and edit functions. An analog video monitor can also be attached. The standard internal DRAM memory is 1 GB.

Alternatively, the camera can be connected to a computer via Ethernet for more advanced software controls. Along with a fully manually controlled intensifier, the intensifier control software sets the intensifier gain, gate and gate delay. A standard gated Ultracam1 can achieve a minimum exposure time of 50ns. Gating time of <3ns is available as an option.
